Asahel Curtis – Puget Sound and Mount Rainier, 1903 (Photo 4504)

This is a very old and unique hand-tinted photo by famous photographer Asahel Curtis. The negative number on this photo is 4504, and it was taken on or around 1903. The photo is beautifully hand-tinted. The frame on the photo looks like the original piecrust frame that has been refinished or reconditioned.

Photos by Asahel Curtis with such early serial numbers are very hard to come by. They are rare. Moreover, this particular item was acquired from the private estate and collection of Asahel Lee Curtis, the great grandson of the photographer Asahel Curtis.
