Asahel Curtis – Eunice Lake and Mount Rainier, 1935 (Photo 61474)

Asahel Curtis was born in 1874 and took this photo in 1935, towards the end of his career as a photographer. I have seen this photo in at least one other collection, but not with great colors as in this copy. The photo image and hand-tinting here are spot on, showing beautiful contrast between trees, water, and mountain views.

This item is not framed, and the back of the photo is board. It’s a nice little photo that really captures how amazing the colors of nature can be.
